In this role as Technical Product Lead you will be primarily responsible for leading technical projects within advanced engineering for the xEV Systems product line with focus on driveline products for hybrid and electrical vehicles. You will be the main technical interface to the customers and will be leading global project teams from idea to proof of concept. You will be responsible for meeting the project targets for performance, quality, timing and budget. You will also be supporting sales in customer interaction for new business opportunities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the technical development of products as Technical Product Lead
  • Main technical interface to customers
  • Write internal product specifications based on customer requirements or market needs.
  • Work with the project team to achieve the performance and cost targets as well as communication with customers in a timely manner
  • Support manufacturing engineering to develop build processes
  • Work with prototype buyer on procurement of parts.
  • Help monitoring product reliability and warranty. If issues occur, participate in root cause analysis and help determine and implement corrective actions.
  • Create product engineering specific timing plans and track and report progress (design, testing, etc.).
  • Follow & support the engineering change process for supported products
  • Monitor competitor and customer development activity and coordinate/perform analysis of competitive products.

Education & Experience

  • MSME, MSEE, MSEP or a similar engineering degree is required.
  • Min 3-5 years of working experience in engineering. Experience of advanced engineering is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel at least 20 % is required.
  • Organized and structured work-style and attention to detail are required.
  • Self-Motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Other languages is an advantage.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Experience with drivetrains of hybrid-electric of full-electric vehicles is preferred
  • Experience of development of electrical machines or electronics is an advantage.
  • Experience of customer communication and conference presentations is an advantage.
  • Leadership experience and training is an advantage.
