Principal Engineer HW (Electronic Designer)

Working as HW Principal Engineer (Electronic Designer) you'll contribute to the design, development and testing of electromechanical components.

Perform standard engineering assignments which are typically a significant portion of a larger project. Select sound techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations under direction of supervisor. Assess results for application, validity, and conformance to specifications;
Utilize engineering tools and techniques to solve straightforward problems (e.g., Electronic CAD for PCB schematics and related simulation tools, Cabling design tools, Automation control with PLC integration, FMEA, Reliability analysis);
Lead small project teams as needed to accomplish project objectives;
Develop and maintain electrical/electromechanical component specification with definition of all functional requirements, including reliability, manufacturability, cost analysis, machine system integration and related serviceability;
Develop, document, and maintain component detailed design, with direct responsibility for design documents execution and BOM management; these technical activities can be executed in cooperation with external partners, suppliers, and other diverse technical teams;
Execute documental activities in change management process in alignment with design control process and procedures;
Contribute and provide technical support in testing activities, defining component test methods, and practically executing testing activities in mechanical laboratory, when needed;
Provide supervision to technicians.

BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent in a technical/scientific field) and 3-5 years related experience;
Solid technical understanding of engineering principles and practices applied in Electrics, Electronics, and Electromechanics, preferably including knowledge of EMC principles;
Experience with PLC-controlled systems and industrial electrical panel development is appreciated;
Experience in cross-functional and cross-sites global/international teams, with solid teamwork approach, problem solving attitude and ability to organize and prioritize tasks
Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills;
Fluent knowledge English both verbally and in writing.
