YOUR MISSION

As the Development Project Manager for a commercial Cortical Brain Interface, your primary responsibility is to lead the development team and oversee the project's execution from conception to completion. You will work closely with the management team, Development Manager, and Program Manager to ensure that project requirements are met on time and within budget. Your role involves:

  • Managing project resources and budget allocation;
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks;
  • Fostering cohesion and high performance within the project team;
  • Organizing and leading weekly project team meetings to discuss progress, risks, and next steps;
  • Supporting the Program Manager in facilitating monthly cross-functional and management team meetings;
  • Providing materials and updates for interactive discussions on project progress, resource needs, and functional issues;
  • Ensuring documentation is accurate and up-to-date, and generating regular reports on project status.

Overall, you will play a crucial role in driving the successful development and delivery of the Cortical Brain Interface, leveraging effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to ensure project success.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the project plan, tasks, resources and budget;
  • Define and prioritize the development tasks, oversee and take part in the development tasks, as appropriate;
  • Lead planning, management of critical initiatives across the development team to achieve their performance schedule and cost targets;
  • Liaise with the Development Manager to manage the sub-contractors within the project;
  • Facilitate smooth interface and communication between the project team and other functions of the organization;
  • Ensure high quality delivery, while complying with procedures and regulations;
  • Support the development and deployment of best practices in the identification of risks to quality, to new product introduction, to production and initiate preventative steps in the project to mitigate these risks;
  • Support continuous improvement of yield, cost, quality and efficiency in the project and business;
  • Be able to travel from time to time as required by role and business.

YOUR PROFILE

  • A track record of project management execution In MedTech;
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Bio Medical or Industrial Engineering. Masters or PhD in a related field is highly desirable, or an equivalent combination of education and technical experience;
  • At least 8 years of experience in medical device industry and at least 5 years project management experience;
  • Track record of bringing new products from concept to commercialization;
  • Demonstrated management and leadership experience in working with cross functional geographically dispersed teams on complex projects;
  • Excellent written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills. Ability to effectively present information to other functions of the business;
  • Prior experience working for a MedTech company whose products and processes are FDA regulated;
  • A self-starter , able to deliver work required to advance the project with a minimal amount of direction;
  • Excellent English Language Skills: Can understand with ease heard or read information. Can summarize information in a coherent presentation. Can express him/herself, fluently and precisely;
  • Accountable to meet commitments by following through, with a sense of ownership, and taking personal responsibility for decisions, actions and failures;
  • Able to prioritize and focus on the few critical objectives amongst numerous Project tasks and activities.
