Job description

We are currently looking for an ingenious Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D Team in Athens, Greece. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have the exciting opportunity of working in a group that develops innovative products. Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

Conceptual design of battery systems used in ESS applications
Design in CAD all necessary parts, assemblies & Sub-assemblies (2D & 3D)
Mechanical component design, e.g. welded and bolted structures, castings, sheet metal parts, and plastic parts
Cable Routing, pipe routing
Prepare the BOMs (CAD & SAP) for new materials used
Collaborate with Industrialization engineers to ensure smooth production handover
Perform Assembly Steps in new product development
Follow up the product lifecycle drawings
Execute design for manufacturing process (DFM)
Execute Engineering Analysis to size product parts. Calculate stress, strain, strength for all related mechanical components of a battery pack assembly
Create plans and perform releases of technical documentation
Execute component development that meet or exceed objectives for performance, cost, weight, investment, and quality
Perform Battery Feasibility Exercise
Participate in DFMEA
Execute component development that meet or exceed objectives for performance, cost, weight, investment, and quality
Provide technical support for testing including failure analysis
