Job Description

We are looking for an automotive experienced Technical or Discipline Project leader to lead the standardization of the global Continental Automotive R&D Software (SW) Planning and Tracking process and related methods and tools.

Our he[a]t PMT (Processes Methods & Tools) group delivers solutions comprised by common best-in-class Engineering processes, methods, workflows & tool chains for Automotive in collaboration with the Business Areas (BA) engineering needs.

Our new colleague will be part of SW Management Solution and will lead a global cross-organizational solution team (>7 reporting cross - BA members) to align the Planning and Tracking solution content. SW Planning and Tracking is the Link between the overall Project Management (PM), Technical Project Management (TPM) and the SW Engineering. We improve existing solutions and prepare to new challenges like SW update (incl. over the air updates) and SW as a Product or Service.

To master the technologies’ challenges, we need you to:

• Define modern management techniques like SAFe in an automotive SW environment;
• Drive all relevant topics to achieve excellence in Automotive R&D SW Planning and Tracking process definition;
• Align the SW Planning and Tracking solution objectives with all stakeholders especially with our Engineering organizations;
• Create an open-minded culture to benefit from diversity;
• Drive the team activities to ensure quality of all generated work results;
• Foster active participation and support of TS Quality requirements (Audits, process improvements, etc.).

Job Requirements

• Master’s/University Degree in Engineering, Technology, or related areas;
• Proven Project management practical experience;
• Experiences in leading project and/or disciplinary teams in a global environment;
• Fluent English Language;
• 5+ Years work experience;
• Knowledge in Agile Methodology is a plus;
• Automotive Industry Background is welcome.
