As part of the System Architecture Team and he/she will directly reports to HW and Mechanics System Architecture team Leader.

During the offer phase he/she contributes to the early definition of the product in order to make proper evaluation of the HW perimeter and related costs; during product development he/she is responsible for defining HW related part of the System Architecture.

Such activities will be performed for Telematics, Cluster, Infotainment/Cockpit and Body ECUs.

Main activities/responsibilities

  • Monitor technology trends on HW functionalities also comparing proposals from different vendors;
  • Participate to competitor analysis activity transferring best design practices to internal team;
  • Design HW architecture selecting the main HW function components and interfaces needed to achieve the target performances and to ensure the best cost/performance compromise;
  • Support the Functional Safety Team in the technical safety concept definition;
  • Provide governance in the HW team about different implementation proposals;
  • Support the System FMEA and qualitative FTA;
  • Support the HW, layout, mechanical, thermal, optical development teams during implementation of critical requirements (e.g. safety relevant).

Skills

  • Electronic Engineering Master Degree or equivalent;
  • Advanced written and spoken English;
  • More than 8 years’ experience of embedded real time electronic product development with high level of HW function integration;
  • Experience on product development and industrialization for the overall life cycle (from RFQ phase to Production follow up);
  • Competences maturated in automotive area or other large scale markets;
  • Capability to effectively design and use multiprocessor architectures;
  • Functional Safety standard and design rules (ISO 26262 or equivalent);
  • Analytic tools and methodologies (e.g. FMEA, FTA);
  • Technical leadership;
  • Ability to work with multinational distributed teams;
  • High capacity of synthesis for all the technical issues;
  • Problem solving attitude.
