Manage the Traction Design service. This service manage the following activities:
Electrical Integration Design;
Thermal Design, Simulations and validations;
Electrical and Multiphysics Simulations designers and acoustic;
Accountable for the respect of the QCD commitment of the Engineering activities within the scope of responsibility of the service for the Traction Design, Switchgears design as well as power modules respecting Alstom’s development process (DFQ);
Manage metier improvement actions and continuous improvements.
Hierarchically linked to the Service Engineering Director.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Manage the Mechanical Design Team;
Support the team members in their professional development (training plan, people review, …);
Manage Workload/workforce capacity balance;
Ensure the synthesis of the mechanical activities and share it within Traction platform and with the RSC Services sites;
Promote the Methodologies and Tools based on the best practices and the Alstom internal rules;
Develop technical expertise within the service;
Support the team with their activities on projects and monitor action plans and problem-solving activities;
For the tenders, the TDMM consolidate the quotation for the scope of the service;
Monitor the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the service and put in place corresponding action plans and continuous improvements;
Ensure return of experience process application, the share of the development methodologies (DFQ, Design Reviews, AMDEC, …);
Pilote the sub-contracted activities through a monthly QCD review.
Design review on time;
Respect of the development costs;
Adherence ratio to the standard catalogs;
Master degree in mechanical or electrical engineering;
10 years of experience in industrial equipment design (Rolling stock products knowledge would be an asset).
