We are currently seeking to employ a motivated and enthusiastic Ground Segment Systems Engineer to support our team at EUMETSAT, contributing to the development and maintenance of advanced meteorological satellite systems.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the system engineering activities related to the Ground Segment, ensuring the successful integration and evolution of satellite ground systems;
  • Plan and execute IVV activities for the Ground Segment systems, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project requirements, and preparing the relevant documentation;
  • Manage system requirements, ensuring traceability and completeness using tools such as DOORS;
  • Implement and adhere to European Cooperation for Space Standardization (ECSS) standards in the development and maintenance of Ground Segment systems;
  • Apply MBSE methodologies to model and analyze complex system architectures, ensuring efficient communication and understanding among project stakeholders;
  • Utilize Systems Modeling Language (SysML) for system modeling, analysis, and design, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of system behavior and interactions;
  • Actively support Anomaly Review Boards (ARBs) and Change Control Boards (CCBs), providing valuable Input and expertise to address system anomalies and changes within the EUMETSAT project framework.

Your profile

  • A degree in Aerospace engineering or in a similar subject;
  • Strong background in IVV activities, with a proven track record of successful integration and validation of complex systems;
  • Expertise using DOORS, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and SysML;
  • Familiarity with ECSS standards and Enterprise Architect related to space systems;
  • Fluent in English, both in speech and writing.
