MISSION

In the frame of Fuel Cell Systems dedicated to mobility

  • Plan and realize component engineering activities (Plastic Omnium and supplier) to develop, integrate and validate sensors in the Fuel Cell System;
  • Ensure Sensor’s characteristics meet systems requirements;
  • Ensure Sensor’s development plan fits with project milestones;
  • Lead the benchmark of potential supplier and screening of technologies for new applications;
  • Develop and deliver the Expertise related to Components of Fuel Cell System inside and outside the Company for the Customers projects and innovations;
  • Support launch for new Actuator product lines (Component level) in accordance with the innovation roadmap (including POC methodology);
  • Lead Suppliers product development performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and realize components engineering activities

  • Plan and realize the engineering activities in order to develop and integrate/validate the components in the system:
    • Prepare and release Component Technical Specification (CTS) based on system and safety requirements;
    • Evaluate suppliers technical offer and agree on supplier deviation list internally and with supplier;
    • Plan and follow Design validation of components (PO and supplier one);
    • Plan and follow Product validation of components (PO and supplier one);
    • Support System integration definition and validation;
    • Support system life cycle analysis on dedicated component;
    • Write lessons learn.
  • Ensure requirement traceability (design and validation) for your dedicated component;
  • Guarantee Quality, Cost and Timing of her/his deliverables and actively participate to any risk mitigation during critical period of projects;
  • Work on BOM cost optimization with project team.

Lead the benchmark of potential supplier and screening of technologies for new applications

  • Identify, prioritize the Sensor technology to screen;
  • Identify potential suppliers for the needed components;
  • With the support of purchasing develop partnerships with key suppliers to maximize synergies;
  • Contribute to partnership with university/research labs;
  • Ensure bottom-up innovation by supporting and sponsoring ideas from his team;
  • Promote and report results of the ongoing POCs in accordance with the innovation roadmap;
  • Enhance the level of partnerships within and outside of PO.

Develop and deliver the Expertise related to Components of Fuel Cell System

  • Be the referent on technical topics related to your components;
  • Analyze patent and literature;
  • Find innovative designs giving advantage to PO New Energies product compared to competition.

Lead Suppliers product development performance

  • Respect the project’s budget: Support RFI/RFQ for any related Sensor needs and Sensors BOM price optimization;
  • Define optimal design task sequencing for component development;
  • Maximize usage of simulation, calculations and pre-validation;
  • Reduction of loops in the development process.

PROFILE REQUIREMENT

Personal Background

  • Engineering degree (energy, mechatronic, electronics – power, signal and/or numeric, automatic-control laws) or equivalent;
  • Around 5 years’ experience in automotive industry, ideally with research and development experience on mechatronics, E/E and Actuator engineering, ideally in the field of complex mechatronics systems;
  • Demonstrated experience in E/E architecture of automotive controlled systems/embedded systems;
  • Fluent in English.

Technical skills

  • Knowledge in control laws, electronic control units &/or On-board diagnostics development;
  • Knowledge of actuators & sensors technologies;
  • Familiar with vehicle and Fuel Cell Systems Architectures;
  • Knowledge in Automotive and/or Heavy Machinery Development Processes e.g. A-Spice, CMMI;
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO26262) & Risk Analysis (e.g. FMEA, FTA);
  • Knowledge of System & Requirement Engineering tools (e.g. Polarion, DOORS) is a bonus;
  • Knowledge of fuel cells, electrolyzers, hydrogen technology is a bonus.
