The Department of Transport are seeking to appoint an Engineering Officer Grade 1 in the Irish Coast Guard.

This role will involve:

• Being project lead on infrastructure design, research, planning, specification and procurement;
• Implementing and managing maritime communication systems;
• Managing, designing and maintaining networks employed within the national maritime communication service;
• Designing, analysing and managing various national Coast Guard networks;
• Managing the Engineering Officer grades who report to the Engineer Officer Grade 1.
