Junior Analog Design Engineer
ADI - Analog Devices
Munich or Home-office, Germany
Job Responsibilities
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high performing team, working on the design of the next generation of automotive BMS chips. Our challenge is to get highest precision analog designs into mass production in an automotive environment. The designs the industry’s highest precision battery monitoring technology and other differentiated analog and digital components, developed in high voltage and advanced technology nodes. The Analog Design team is responsible for breaking down system level requirements into design specifications, architecting and designing analog signal chains & subsystems, doing transistor level analog circuit design and simulations, doing block-level and system-level modeling and simulations, delivering blocks that meet timing, area, and performance requirements, as well as supporting post-silicon validation and debug.
Minimum Qualification
Desired Skill Set (not every applicant will have all these skills, especially if applying for fresh graduate position)
- Understanding of semiconductor device level operation & physics
- Expertise in transistor level analog design
- Knowledge in any of the following analog blocks: Amplifiers/OPAMP circuits, LDOs, Bandgaps & Bias Circuits, Temperature Sensor, Oscillators
- Knowledge in various ADC architectures and corresponding architectural trade-offs
- Knowledge in low power design methodologies
- High voltage analog circuit design & knowledge of BCD/HV processes is a plus
- Understanding of layout considerations for either high precision analog applications and ability to oversee the same
- Knowledge about analog/mixed-signal co-simulations & analog verification
- Experience in lab evaluation, programming and data analysis in C#, Python, and/or Matlab
