We are seeking a team member for the Platform and Product Development Team in Aachen, Germany. The team is responsible for mechanical and electro-mechanical designs for industrial cameras which can be used with machine vision technology. The team integrates optics, electronics and mechanics into high performance products that can be produced cost-effectively and in large quantities.
About you:
Our ideal candidate is a fresh-minded, pragmatic graduate or young professional with a can-do attitude who shares the enthusiasm for learning and applying new developments to our products. A drive for standardization and optimization in design, but also for easy adaptation to project specifics is required, as is appropriate documentation production.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with 3D-CAD design tools, preferably SolidWorks
- Experience with PDM/PLM systems, preferably SAP and SolidWorks PDM
- Design engineering skills and knowledge of common mechanical production technologies such as plastic injection molding, die casting, extrusion
- Familiar with rapid prototyping
- Creative, innovative, enthusiastic, pro-active, communicative
- Familiar with modular design
- It would be beneficial if the candidate had experience with mechanical simulation tools (mechanical strength, thermal)
- Highly structure and organized, good presentation and interpersonal skills
- Verbal and written fluency in English required
Minimum education and work experience required:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Basic experience in CAD design
