About the position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager to join an established team at Kongsberg Automotive. This position involves close collaboration with colleagues and customers across Europe so if you are self motivated, with a background in Automotive Engineering and enjoy supporting and working closely with people across the globe, this may be the position for you.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end product development and industrialization projects in a dynamic automotive environment;
Manage multidisciplinary teams, driving collaboration and delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards;
Act as the key interface between customers, operations, engineering, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle;
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, maximizing project profitability and operational efficiency;
Oversee manufacturing readiness, including process validation, tooling implementation, prototype builds, and production launches;
Monitor project performance through KPIs, risk management, and strategic planning to achieve business objectives;
Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering innovative solutions that meet technical, commercial, and quality requirements;
Contribute to the successful launch of new products and production lines while supporting long-term business growth.

Requirements

To be successful in the role you must have:

BCs in Industrial engineering;
High level of spoken and written English (compulsory) and German (recommended);
5 to 10 years of previous experience in the automotive sector in production, processes, metal and plastic product development departments;
Proven experience in international project management and team management;
Analytical profile with orientation to results and development of people;
Communication skills, teamwork, initiative and time management;
Knowledge in problem solving tools (Kaizen, 8D, etc.) and process audits;
Power Office user (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.);
Knowledge in IATF 16949:2016;
APQP Knowledge;
Recommended knowledge in SAP and PLM;
Desirable SAP experience.
