About the Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of specialized equipment used in machining, welding, metrology, non-destructive testing (NDT), and handling operations.

Working within multidisciplinary project teams, you will be involved throughout the entire engineering lifecycle—from concept development and feasibility studies to detailed design, qualification, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Design

• Contribute to the definition of tooling and equipment concepts during the proposal and bidding phase.
• Perform feasibility studies and detailed mechanical design activities.
• Develop 3D models and detailed designs using CAD tools.
• Perform mechanical calculations and sizing of components and assemblies.
• Select appropriate materials and electromechanical components according to project requirements.

Technical Documentation

• Produce assembly drawings, manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Develop handling plans and intervention sequence documentation.
• Prepare technical documentation required for design, qualification, manufacturing, and implementation activities.

Testing & Qualification

• Participate in workshop assembly, testing, and acceptance activities.
• Contribute to development and qualification programs for new tooling and equipment.
• Support troubleshooting and design improvements throughout the project lifecycle.

Collaboration & Project Support

• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and project teams.
• Participate in technical reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the delivery of innovative solutions that meet customer and operational requirements.

Profile

Education

• Master’s Degree (Bac+5) in:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • General Engineering
  • Or an equivalent technical discipline

Experience

• 0 to 10 years of experience in:
  • Mechanical design
  • Industrial equipment development
  • Manufacturing or engineering projects
  • Both recent graduates and experienced engineers are encouraged to apply.

Languages

• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• French is highly desirable.
