About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Establish continuous feedback loops with the Data Center Operations team. Act as a trusted advisor, gathering feature requests and identifying operational pain points. Manage user communications and advocate for operators' needs back to engineering;
  • Utilize BMS, EPMS, and SCADA dashboards to monitor equipment performance. Identify system anomalies, operational risks, or configuration gaps. Feed operational findings back to teams to kickstart their tool utilization;
  • Design and deliver technical training sessions on tools and telemetry. Create clear, user-friendly documentation, quick-start guides, and communication plans. Facilitate onboarding for new operators;
  • Identify and engage with new internal teams (e.g., Sustainability, Capacity Planning, etc.) to explore how they can leverage our telemetry datasets and tools. Understand their business requirements and map them to existing data streams or tooling capabilities.
