Your mission

• Lead the development, verification and integration of the UAV Battery System;
• Lead the communication, provide inputs and accept the deliverables of the supplier;
• Manage requirements and traceability from high levels to the Battery System and Components levels;
• Develop the Battery System design- and lifecycle-related documentation;
• Translate the needs of customers and other stakeholders into the Battery System requirements;
• Prepare and conduct the design reviews for the Battery System design;
• Being responsible for the validation and verification of the requirements and generating compliance evidence for the certification by the aviation authority;
• Work within a scaled agile environment to support the Product Owner.

Your profile

• Engineering degree, ideally in aerospace or electrical engineering;
• 5+ years of professional experience as a systems engineer in Battery System development in the aviation or drone industry;
• Strong knowledge of the standard specifications and performance standards for the Battery Systems in airborne applications such as ASTM F3005, RTCA DO-311;
• Good knowledge of the electrical, mechanical, cell technology and software aspects of the Battery design;
• Ideally, you are experienced in technical leadership of development projects;
• Experienced with drone systems and UAVCAN/DroneCAN;
• Competent in systems engineering according to ARP4754A or equivalent;
• Proficiency in development assurance and qualification standards such as RTCA DO-160, DO-254, DO-178 is a plus.
