What to Expect

Tesla is seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in magnetic and electrical measurements. This person will be working as part of the Tesla motor technology team located in Athens, Greece, towards developing test plans and magnetic measurement setups, as well as performing characterization measurements on both soft and hard magnetic materials.

What You’ll Do

Characterization of soft and hard magnetic materials;
Development of measurement setups for magnetic material evaluation;
Development of material validation plans and validation reports;
Detailed organization of magnetic material inventory with automated routines;
Perform 2D/3D FEA simulations to develop new and further understand existing magnetic measurement setups.

What You’ll Bring

Studies in Electrical Engineering/Electromagnetics with specialization on magnetic materials;
Strong mathematical and physics background;
Experience with modeling & measuring magnetic losses;
Strong fundamentals in electromagnetics and electrical machines;
Excellent understanding of electric circuits;
Strong MATLAB programming skills;
Experience analyzing electric motors using Finite Element Method;
Experience using power analyzer/oscilloscope & performing electrical measurements;
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment;
Fluency in English speaking, reading and writing.
