About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a large site-wide data center construction and delivery organization, managing scopes related to construction projects or capital improvement projects;
  • Be responsible for ensuring the development of detailed designs, managing construction (i.e., delivery, cost, quality, and EHS), commissioning, close out, and hand off to the operations team. Ensure all customer requirements are being met;
  • Establish and maintain various delivery models and global relationships with multiple vendors;
  • Create a growth plan and be involved in hiring/recruiting talent in the areas of project management, field engineering, document control, technical writing, etc.;
  • Research and implement construction means and methods of data center equipment and facilities. Carry design concepts into mass production and integrate into facilities.
