About the Role

At ARX Robotics, you will lead the Verification & Validation function behind next-generation teleoperated and autonomous robotic systems. As Senior Engineering Manager, Verification & Validation, you will shape how complex robotic platforms are tested, validated, and prepared for safe and reliable operation in demanding real-world environments.

This role combines technical leadership, systems thinking, and people management. You will work closely with software, hardware, autonomy, and systems engineering teams to define scalable V&V strategies across the full product lifecycle. Your leadership will directly influence the quality, reliability, and operational readiness of autonomous systems deployed in the field.

What You’ll Build

Lead and grow a multidisciplinary Verification & Validation team across software and systems testing
Define team priorities, organizational structure, hiring plans, and long-term capability development
Establish and execute comprehensive V&V strategies covering integration, regression, system, and acceptance testing
Build scalable validation processes that support the development and deployment of safety-critical robotic systems
Ensure full traceability between system requirements, test coverage, validation results, and release decisions
Develop and evolve Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) platforms, automated test frameworks, and CI/CD-integrated validation workflows
Lead proving ground and field-testing activities for autonomous and teleoperated robotic platforms
Drive test reporting, issue analysis, risk assessment, and non-conformance management across complex system environments
Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams on integration readiness, troubleshooting, and validation planning
Support safety analyses, certification activities, and customer-facing validation efforts with technical expertise and clear communication

What You Bring

Experience leading engineering or testing teams within robotics, automotive, defense, aerospace, or other complex systems environments
Strong background in system-level Verification & Validation for integrated hardware-software systems
Hands-on experience with HiL platforms, simulation environments, or large-scale system testing operations
Strong understanding of software validation, integration testing, and automated testing methodologies
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and scalable test automation workflows
Experience working in safety-critical or mission-critical engineering environments
Working knowledge of C++ and familiarity with ROS or robotics software ecosystems is beneficial
Understanding of safety and certification standards such as ISO 26262, DO-178C, or comparable frameworks
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to align multidisciplinary teams
Professional fluency in English. German language skills are beneficial but not required
