Role

  • Define and evolve the system architecture for our ADAS solutions including sensors and compute platforms, ensuring scalability, modularity, and reuse across multiple customer programs.
  • Translate customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal platform strategies into system architecture concepts, interfaces, and design constraints.
  • Develop end-to-end functional and logical architectures, including perception, prediction and planning, decision making and control.
  • Ensure system-level coherence across hardware, software, algorithms, and vehicle integration.
  • Drive alignment with relevant automotive standards and regulations, including ISO Functional Safety, SOTIF, and Cybersecurity.
  • Define and maintain methods, tools, and best practices for architectural modeling, requirements engineering, and interface management.
  • Develop system requirements, interface specifications, design documentation, and architecture models.
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, architecture, safety concepts, and verification/validation strategies.
  • Provide expert guidance related to performance, cost, complexity, and safety to internal stakeholders.
  • Support the definition of the long-term technology roadmap together with the platform and product teams.
  • Work closely with hardware, software, algorithm, AI/ML, vehicle integration, calibration, and validation teams to ensure consistent architecture implementation.
  • Coordinate system decomposition and interface definitions across compute platforms, sensors, and other vehicle systems.
  • Support integration planning and troubleshooting for complex multi-domain interactions.
  • Serve as a key technical contact for in- and external stakeholders, such as OEMs, component suppliers, and development teams.
  • Provide system-level insights during RFQs, technical workshops, and customer reviews.
  • Collaborate with business development and program management to define feasible architectures for customer programs and platform evolution.

Skills Required

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or in a related STEM field.
  • Several years of experience in ADAS, autonomous driving, or automotive embedded systems.
  • Proven track record in system architecture, systems engineering, or vehicle-level feature development.
  • Strong understanding of sensor technologies (camera, radar, lidar, ultrasonic) and related processing chains.
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SOME/IP) and vehicle integration.
  • Experience with architecture modeling (e.g. in UML / SysML) and requirements management tools.

Skills Preferred

  • Experience in Tier 1 or OEM development environments.
  • Good knowledge of ADAS features and related functional KPIs
  • Experience with industry standards: ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ISO/PAS 21448 (SOTIF), and ISO/SAE 21434 (Cybersecurity).
  • Exposure to model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and architecture frameworks.
  • Practical understanding of validation concepts, simulation workflows, and perception algorithm behavior.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional discussions and drive consensus.
