Job Profile:

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in electromechanical system production to support the launch and industrialization of a new Tier 1 Air Circuit Breaker production line at the Eaton Suchdol manufacturing site.

This role will play a critical part throughout the full product lifecycle—from prototype and certification phases through serial production and will expand in scope as production ramps up.

Experience in low‑voltage switchgear is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

Manufacturing & Industrialization:

  • Support the expansion of production capabilities for a new air circuit breaker product line;
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams during product ramp‑up;
  • Support the transition from prototype builds to certified, serial production.

Inspection & Quality Processes:

  • Define and implement inspection and gauging processes based on initial design information from R&D;
  • Provide clear GD&T‑based guidance to the on‑site quality team for part inspection;
  • Serve as a primary technical contact to R&D in case of major inspection failures or part scrapping;
  • Participate in process control activities, including tracking and updating:

Certification & Change Management:

  • Actively support the certification phase (IEC & UL testing);
  • Track and manage rapid design and process revisions resulting from certification testing feedback;
  • Communicate required product and process changes between R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.

We would like you to bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering;
  • Solid experience in manufacturing engineering or industrialization roles (mechanical engineering);
  • Strong understanding of electromechanical systems (manufacturing);
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical technical drawings (GD&T formal training preferred but not mandatory);
  • Experience supporting products through certification and new production ramp‑up.

Preferred knowledge:

  • Experience with low‑voltage switchgear or power distribution equipment;
  • Prior involvement in IEC and UL certification processes;
  • Familiarity with PLM systems and structured change management;
  • Six Sigma knowledge; Green Belt certification (or willingness to obtain via Eaton);
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural, global teams across multiple time zones.
