About the role:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for designing special-purpose machines for machining, welding, metrology, non-destructive testing, and/or handling activities.

You will report to the Product Manager and be located at Marseille.

Key Responsibilities:

Participating in the definition of tooling concepts during the bidding phase;
Conducting feasibility and detailed studies;
CAD design and mechanical sizing;
Selecting materials and electromechanical components;
Producing assembly drawings, detailed drawings, and bills of materials;
Creating intervention sequence plans and handling plans;
Writing design, qualification, and implementation documentation for tooling;
Participating in workshop acceptance tests, development, and qualification of tooling.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree (Bac+5) in general or mechanical engineering, or equivalent;
0 to 10 years of experience in design or manufacturing projects;
Passion for mechanics and special-purpose machinery;
Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams;
Strong writing skills and ability to synthesize information;
Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Inventor and AutoCAD;
Knowledge of EUROCODES; familiarity with the Machinery Directive is a plus;
Knowledge and experience in the nuclear field and RCC-M regulations are appreciated.
