About the Role

In this role, you take ownership of translating electrical designs into scalable, production-ready systems. You ensure that our electrical architecture is not only technically sound, but also manufacturable, robust, and cost-efficient.

Your focus lies on wiring harness design, BOM management, and PLM integration, acting as the central link between engineering, supply chain, and production.

What You'll Do

You design and develop wiring harnesses, including:
- cable routing concepts
- connector selection
- crimping, shielding, and protection concepts
You define modular electrical architectures and pre-assembly concepts (subassemblies) to enable scalable production.
You create, structure, and maintain bills of materials (BOM), including:
- EBOM to MBOM/SBOM transitions
- variant and configuration management
You own the integration of electrical data into PLM systems (e.g. Teamcenter, ARAS) and ensure data consistency across engineering, procurement, and production.
You ensure alignment between EPLAN, CAD, and PLM data structures.
You drive design-for-manufacturing (DfM) and cost optimization for electrical systems.
You coordinate closely with suppliers and internal functions such as Production Planning and Quality.
You define and improve processes and SOPs along the electrical supply chain and industrialization workflow.
You support production, integration, and testing with a strong focus on scalability, robustness, and repeatability.

Your Profile

Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable qualification
Several years of experience in electrical integration, harness design, or industrialization
Hands-on experience with harness design tools (e.g. EPLAN Harness ProD, Capital, Zuken or similar)
Strong understanding of connectors, cable assemblies, crimping technologies, and production processes
Solid experience with BOM structures and PLM systems (e.g. Teamcenter, ARAS)
Experience with variant management and configuration control is a plus
Practical, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on implementation and scalability
Structured and detail-oriented way of working
Fluent in English (German is a plus)
