As an R&D Mechatronics Product Technical Leader at Valeo, you will lead the platform development of innovative mechatronic systems in Radar field, driving projects from concept to production with a focus on manufacturability and quality.
YOUR CHALLENGES:
Lead and manage R&D projects for mechatronic systems ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
Apply expertise in Mechatronics, Mechanical and Validation field to develop robust and efficient solutions.
Implement Automation Technology and Robotics principles into product development and manufacturing processes.
Drive Innovation Management within projects, fostering new ideas and technologies.
Ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) is integrated throughout the development lifecycle, collaborating closely with manufacturing teams.
Oversee Quality Control (QC) aspects of mechatronic designs and prototypes, ensuring adherence to rigorous automotive standards.
Provide technical Leadership to project teams, mentoring engineers and fostering a collaborative environment.
Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges using strong Problem Solving methodologies.
Communicate project status, technical challenges, and solutions effectively to stakeholders.
Identification of needs in terms of resources, investments and equipment.
Responsibility for communication with production plants and preparing good starting conditions for future mass production.
Establish simple break down of activities to meet the customer delivery on time.
LET´S TALK ABOUT YOU:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in R&D project leadership, ideally within the automotive industry.
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Mechatronics (HW and Mechanics)and Validation (EMC, environmental validation).
Ensure smooth communication between the R&D Team and customer in regards to all R&D related topics at mechanics and electronics level.
Experience with industrialization or new production launch including communication with suppliers.
Experience with Quality Control (QC) processes and automotive quality standards.
Excellent Innovation Management skills, with a track record of contributing to new product development.
Exceptional Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Advanced Problem Solving abilities with a systematic approach to complex technical issues.
