You will complete the project within the deadlines set by the schedule, and manages the assignments and priorities of team members on several projects simultaneously.
Meaningful activities
Based on the guidelines of your program manager or manager, in compliance with the client's requirements and the schedule, you will:
Write project plans and establish planning and cost baselines;
Coordinate teams (engineers, quality specialists, suppliers/buyers, etc.) which may include project controllers;
Interpret and communicate project/contract requirements, and subsequent amendments, to functional groups through a change management process;
Support project team members by providing training/mentoring and expertise/support;
Respect the project schedule and cost plan by carrying out the associated missions efficiently and quickly. Establishes and communicates the progress of the project and its financial parameters to its management;
Resolve conflicts of interpretation of contract clauses with the client in collaboration with the BU contract manager;
Maintains project databases, systems and procedures to ensure effective management and transmission of documentation between project team members;
Conduct and reports on a final assessment of the quality of the project. Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement, lessons learned, and risk avoidance measures for future projects.
Responsibilities exercised and latitude for action
Responsibilities: You will be responsible for all project management processes for less complex projects.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for all project management processes for projects with low complexity and on a part (a work package) of a project of medium complexity.
May be responsible for a project of medium complexity as an assistant (under the direct supervision of a program manager – or higher).
Latitude of action: The project manager acts autonomously within the framework of the general guidelines of your line manager, to whom you reports the blocking points during weekly or ad hoc reviews.
Labour Relations
The project manager is in contact with management, project stakeholders, customers, suppliers, operations managers, engineering and especially your counterparts in terms of project management to establish consistency between the different projects.
Key competencies
Education: BAC+5 or equivalent, in project management, engineering or a related technical discipline;
Experience:
4 years of experience in project/program management in the nuclear sector.
Knowledge/Know-how/Skills:
In-depth skills in project management methodology. Coordinate team members and complete multiple assigned tasks;
Knowledge of the different functions of the company related to projects (finance, quality, procurement, etc.).
