As a Senior System Development Engineer at BRP-Rotax, you will drive the development of complex combustion and hybrid powertrains, shaping system requirements, leading system design, and ensuring successful verification and release.
Elicit, analyze, and manage stakeholders requirements;
Define and maintain the system architecture and allocate requirements to subsystems;
Ensure alignment between architecture, technical constraints, and legal/regulatory requirements;
Support system verification and validation, including test planning and result analysis;
Facilitate cross-functional decisions regarding functionality, feasibility, performance, quality and timing;
Present system designs, requirements status, and risks to project and management;
Ensure compliance with internal development processes and support configuration management, change control, and engineering release activities;
Contribute to functional safety and cybersecurity analyses, supporting overall system robustness and risk mitigation;
Act in key systems engineering roles, including Stakeholder Requirements Engineering and System Engineering, as required by the development process.
Your skills and experiences
University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a comparable field;
5 to 10 years of experience in automotive system engineering or equivalent role;
Basic knowledge of ISO 21434;
Good Knowledge of ISO 26262 Part 3 and 4 and ASPICE processes;
Excellent knowledge of ALM Tools(e.g. Windchill RV&S, Codebeamer,...);
A good knowledge of vehicle network (CAN/LIN/Ethernet), diagnostic (UDS), and AUTOSAR concepts would be an asset;
Structured and solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills;
Strong ability to strive in a complex environment;
Fluency in English.
