Overview

The Sustainable Automation BU is enabling the factory of the future by driving innovation in sensing and control automation. As part of this mission, the Industrial Controls sub‑strategy focuses on advancing technologies for programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and next‑generation industrial control architectures. Customers such as Siemens, Rockwell, Honeywell, and Mitsubishi increasingly rely on ADI not only for components but for system‑level hardware, software, and architectural innovation.

Our group is seeking a Systems Engineer with a strong hardware and software electrical engineering focus to support system PCB‑level development, system‑level hardware design, test and debug to support ADIs ongoing investment into silicon products targeted at the industrial automation end market. customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop PCB and system‑level hardware, incorporating ADC, DAC, power management and digital technologies, to support state‑of‑the‑art subsystems and system solution development for customers;
  • Create digital‑twin and simulation models of ADI subsystem hardware, using circuit, PCB‑, and system‑level simulation techniques—augmented by AI‑assisted analysis tools—to support system analysis, performance prediction, and design trade‑offs;
  • Contribute to the definition of new product concepts and system‑level technology needs, identifying PCB, signal‑chain, interface, and subsystem requirements that strengthen ADI’s value proposition;
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support major industrial automation customers, grow the opportunity pipeline, and contribute to technically strong customer proposals that maximize ADI content;
  • Develop system‑level technical collateral, including hardware block diagrams, reference designs, demos, and training materials for customer and internal enablement.
