What you'll do:

  • Oversee the operational functionality of the water system, identifying performance gaps and recommending improvements in alignment with organizational objectives and in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
  • Conduct analysis, monitoring, and adjustment of water quality parameters, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standard and internal requirements.
  • Manage and maintain the Chemical Laboratory, including laboratory equipment and instruments, inventory control of consumables and chemical products, proper documentation and updating of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring a safe and compliant laboratory environment.
  • Preparation and execution of laboratory activities related to the evaluation of dishwasher performance with a special focus on detergent chemistry and formulation.
  • Understanding of standard and customized testing procedures, timelines and deliverables related to assigned activities related to chemical area.
  • Deep understanding of washing and drying physic-chemical process aspect, with focus on detergent and chemical additives action on Dishwashers.
  • Test plan definition and setup according to target component/system and expected results. Definition of novel test practices upon need. Data analysis, test report preparation and release.
  • Drive the evaluation and introduction of new technologies in cooperation with the relevant departments, Universities, Test Institutes and Relevant Partners.
  • Understanding of product technical specifications; support the introduction of new technologies in cooperation with the relevant departments.
  • Integration and coordination of inputs coming from other teams (e.g. Hydraulics, Mechanical, Software, Functional) to support appliance functionality development.
  • Demonstrate creative ability; exhibits appropriate professional behaviour including positive attitude, sense of urgency, independent judgment, teamwork, creative thinking and personal integrity to achieve department/corporate goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: preferred Master’s or bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Chemical Engineering (3-5 years).
  • Preferred expertise in fabric detergent chemistry and formulation, perfumes and related delivery systems, bleach and oxidation chemistry, polymers, and surfactants.
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment, data acquisitions system, testing procedures and evaluations of results.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and tools.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization, building strong and valid relationships with all the functions in the organization.
  • Experience: basic experience in R&D lab environment.
  • Fluent English with efficient communication skills, including recording and presenting test output.
  • Laboratory testing plan, design and execution - Medium/Advanced with at least basic knowledge for statistical approach (DOE) on testing methodologies.
  • IT skills – Basic/Medium on software programming, Advanced on common Windows applications.
  • Positive thinking, Open-minded and Proactivity.
  • Basic knowledge of REACH regulation.
  • Problem-solving, team oriented and with a result driven approach.
