As a Senior Engineer Extra Low Voltage & Life Safety Systems at Exyte, you will take on a key role in the planning, development, and implementation of critical safety and electrical systems for our high-tech projects in the pharmaceutical and science sectors. You will combine deep technical expertise with cross-disciplinary collaboration to help ensure the safety and performance of our advanced production facilities.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

Life Safety Systems

  • Design and construction planning for life safety and communication systems (e.g. fire and gas detection, public safety radio (BOS), safety lighting, access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, passive and active network systems, intercom and loudspeaker systems);
  • Translation of PID schematics into functional descriptions for building management systems (HVAC, lighting, shading, etc.);
  • Preparation of material take-offs and electrical schematics;
  • System and component selection including specification definition and data sheet creation;
  • Coordination and quality control in compliance with technical regulations and project requirements;
  • Close collaboration with other disciplines and external engineering partners;
  • Compliance with EHS, regulatory and customer-specific standards.

Extra Low Voltage/Low Voltage Systems

  • Evaluation and creation of technical specifications and requirement documents for low-voltage systems;
  • Review of technical documentation including electrical plans, control concepts, and circuit diagrams with a holistic approach;
  • Integration of supplier and contractor input into system design and execution planning;
  • Contribution to the overall system planning for our facilities with a strong interdisciplinary approach;
  • Continuous review of applicable standards and codes (e.g. VDE, DIN, EMV, IEC) and ensuring project-specific compliance.

Show your expertise

  • Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar (Bachelor/Master);
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the planning and implementation of life safety, ELV and building automation systems;
  • In-depth knowledge of ELV and safety system standards and technologies in industrial environments;
  • Experience with system design across all project phases (concept, basic, detail design);
  • Confident use of MS Office and electrical planning tools (e.g. AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar);
  • Strong team spirit, proactive attitude and high flexibility;
  • Very good English skills; German is a strong advantage.
