As a Nuclear Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and optimizing safety performance in nuclear projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to assess risks, implement safety measures, and support regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety analyses and risk assessments for nuclear installations.
  • Develop and review safety cases, hazard analyses, and accident scenarios.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international nuclear safety standards.
  • Participate in regulatory discussions and liaise with safety authorities.
  • Support the design and implementation of nuclear safety processes.
  • Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
  • Perform safety-related calculations, including reliability and probabilistic risk assessments.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to HAZOP studies and other safety assessments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in nuclear safety engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear safety regulations (e.g., ASME, RCC-M, IEEE).
  • Experience with safety assessment methodologies (FMEA, FTA, HAZOP, etc.).
  • Proficiency in risk analysis tools and software.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a plus.
