Provide expert guidance on polymeric materials used in automotive lighting products and review material applications for new projects according to PDS processes;
Solve material‑related issues independently or in collaboration with cross‑functional teams, including testing and evaluation support;
Deliver training and knowledge‑sharing sessions on polymeric materials in cooperation with HR; create and maintain Lessons Learned documentation;
Drive innovation and cost‑optimization initiatives, evaluate benchmarking inputs, and contribute to material strategy development for production areas;
Manage communication with material suppliers and customers, coordinate sample deliveries and technical support, and collaborate with Purchasing on supplier selection;
Release and update materials in system tools, approve material changes on projects, and train new colleagues in processes related to raw materials and bulk items;
Participate in professional events, contribute to technical publications, and ensure compliance with safety, internal regulations, and legislative requirements.
Requirements:
University degree in Material engineering, chemistry, technology, or related;
Minimum 3 years of experience with polymeric materials, including testing, processing, and understanding of relevant legislative and customer requirements;
Automotive experience will be an added value;
Knowledge of production technologies and material testing methodologies;
Fluent English skills, German is a nice-to-have;
Strong decision‑making ability, proactive approach, high independence, and ability to drive tasks to completion;
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with strong customer and quality orientation;
Ability to educate and mentor colleagues on materials-related topics.
