This role requires a technical leader who excels in collaborative environments, and in technical thought leadership, not a traditional engineering manager. Existing domain expertise in robotics or in a robotics-adjacent technology is preferred. Experience in a semiconductor company with domain expertise in a related system applications field is also of interest (e.g. motion control, autonomous vehicles). The role is primarily one of thought leadership, technical expertise and influence. There may be some hands-on activity in terms of supporting demonstrators and exploring concepts etc but this is not a central part of the role. It is also not a team management role.

Technical Foundation

  • Bachelors in Engineering (Electronics/Electrical preferred) with 7+ years of experience in a relevant field;
  • Hands-on experience in robotics systems (or similar) development (PCB, firmware, or FPGA experience a plus);
  • Familiarity with humanoid, mobile robotics, collaborative robots, and/or industrial vision technologies (e.g., ToF, radar, sensor fusion);
  • Understanding of robotics and automation systems;
  • Experience providing technical guidance;
  • Good communicator with a strong ability in technical presentation and collateral generation.

Leadership in Matrix Organizations

  • Excellence in influencing without direct authority (non-management role);
