The System Applications team develops system‑level technical solutions, creates end‑to‑end signal chains and architectures, and collaborates with customers and internal teams to define and deliver high‑impact innovations. As a Senior Robotics System Applications Engineer, you will contribute to the development of advanced robotic subsystems, influence future ADI technologies, and help drive growth in a rapidly expanding market segment.

The Role
As a Robotics System Applications Engineer, the candidate will:
Develop hardware, software, and embedded systems for mobile robotics applications;
Develop system-level block diagrams and signal chains using ADI technologies;
Quantify the impact of technologies on robotic performance metrics;
Present ADI Robotics solutions to key customers and at trade shows;
Cooperate in the ideation of new products and system‑level solutions based on application needs;
Maintain strong knowledge of Analog Devices’ product offering and future developments;
Analyze our competitors’ technical benefits and weak points;
Collaborate across ADI to deliver near‑term customer solutions and influence long‑term technology roadmaps; work closely with ADI Technology teams to shape our future products to deliver maximum value to the customer;
Develop international relationships with our Field Application Engineers by creating and delivering technical training material;
Continue learning every day and expand your system‑level understanding in relevant application segments; analyze customer system issues and define value‑added solutions.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, preferably with a focus on robotics;
PhD or 2-4 years of experience in technical developments (PCB level, firmware level, FPGA is a plus). Larger level of experience is appreciated;
Solid understanding of electronics, especially in embedded systems and sensor integration;
Good knowledge of robotics applications, preferably mobile robots;
Preferred knowledge of Industrial Vision technologies, including Time of Flight and Sensor Fusion techniques;
Preferred knowledge of Motion technologies, including BLDC and PMSM drives;
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques is a plus;
Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System);
Must have excellent and effective oral and written English communication skills;
Must be detail-oriented and able to work on multiple priorities/projects;
Strong team player aiming to build a collaborative environment and interact inside and outside the organization. Critical thinking with a problem-solving approach;
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently, maintain strong organizational skills, and demonstrate a collaborative attitude and a problem‑solving approach;
Willingness to travel internationally (up to 10%).
