Mechanical Design Engineer (UAV)

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer whose primary role will involve in developing and researching defense systems, from the preliminary phase to industrialization.

Tasks to be performed:

• Mechanical design and creation of manufacturing drawings;
• Bill of materials (BOM) and checklist oversight;
• Selection of commercial components;
• Development of design documentation;
• Supervision of manufacturing, assembly and commissioning;
• Creation of test plans, assistance and supervision of system tests.

Required Education and Skills:

• Level – Degree: University degree /master’s in Mechanical engineering, Industrial engineering, Aeronautics or similar.

Additional Training/Qualifications:

• Advanced english is essential.

Specific Knowledge:

• Solidworks or other similar CAD programs;
• Knowledge of Composite Materials;
• Design of flight parts for multirotors and low-weight fixed wing aircrafts;
• Knowledge of electronics and use of equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc. will be valued;
• Knowledge of project management will be valued;
• Knowledge of the defense sector and defense regulations for design and testing MIL-STD, STANAG will be valued.

Minimum Required Experience:

• 2 - 5 years of experience;
• Previous experience in UAVs, adquired from work or hobbies;
• Desirable previous experience in the defence sector.
