About the Role
As a Methods & Tools Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of IT/Software, Systems Engineering, and Data and be the backbone that powers our engineering teams. You will automate workflows, connect complex engineering tools, and develop the future cloud infrastructure for our hydrogen aviation data. Your role will be to:
- Develop scripts and internal software tools to automate complex cross-disciplinary engineering tasks and link and/or extend our different software environments.
- Create engines that automatically generate engineering documents (ICDs, System Descriptions, Test Reports) directly from models ensuring a single source of truth.
- Create internal dashboards and applications to track project progress, visualise test results and system performance data, and ensure requirement coverage for the MBSE and IVVQ teams.
- Act as the first point of contact for the engineering team regarding tool issues, configuration, and best practices. Identify issues and bottlenecks and propose fixes.
- Leverage AI tools to optimise workflows and treat non-sensitive, non-critical data.
- Support the design and implementation of IT infrastructure including for future cloud capabilities.
Your Profile
- Master's degree in engineering, specialising in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar.
- Minimum experience of 2 years in software engineering roles in an industrial setting.
- A process-oriented profile with a strong hybrid Industrial Engineering/Software Development mindset.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL languages.
- Experience with APIs (REST) and various data formats (XML, JSON, CSV) for data handling.
- Ability to rapidly prototype and deploy lightweight internal applications using modern web stacks (React, Next.js, Vercel) and managed backend services (Supabase, Firebase, Redis) or containers (Docker).
- Understanding of cloud principles and tools (networking, storage, compute, AI/ML solutions).
- Ability to extract key information, formulate requirements, and quickly understand new information/tools.
- Excellent problem-solving ability; communication skills; and willingness to propose ideas.
- High level of written and spoken English mandatory. French or other languages would be a bonus.
