Your Challenges

Customer interface and TDP contribution

  • Based on the highlights of the project scope, contribute to the construction of the TDP(s) around components, products, systems, integrating customer trends and drivers
  • Manage the customer Intimacy with regular meetings
  • Support the technical communications and marketing actions for RFQ, P1 and P0 project phase

Product development

  • Technical responsibilities for actuators products (ex.: ETC, EGR, PLA, GBA)
  • Implement Standardization strategy, escalate Lessons Learned to improve the Standards
  • In charge of the robust design in line with Industrial network for manufacturability
  • Implement Valeo methodologies (ex.: CLEAN) and Tools (ex.: PLM/STR) necessary to the developments
  • Responsible for global product life time:
    • answers to RFQ
    • development of new products during P1
    • supporting technical issues during serial production
  • In case of technical issues on customer returns (field or 0km) supporting the analysis (Warranty team or APU)

Team & Budget Management

  • Management of R&D team workload and split of responsibilities for team members
  • Built Product expertise, define competence matrix and corresponding training plan for dedicated team
  • Establish and feed the related networks (relationship with Platform and with disciplines)
  • In charge of R&D efficiency improvements
  • In charge of R&D Budget

The ideal candidate will have

  • Education in mechanical or electrical engineering or project management
  • Knowledge of English at the level of free communication, German or French will be an asset
  • Work experience in a similar position/project development min. 3 years
  • Experience with customer communication as the leader of topic is a must
  • Good knowledge of technical drawing/components development/material definition based of functionality usage
  • Out of box way of thinking
  • ASPICE/ASIL requirements are a strong asset
  • Knowledge of product with software/hardware is welcome
  • Basic system knowledge is welcome
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards is welcome
  • Teamwork skills in the international environment
  • Creativity and dynamism in action
  • Flexibility of workload management
