What awaits you?

  • Work environment – You will spend your working hours in the BMW laboratory, where we provide the latest and most modern technical equipment to ensure that everything runs smoothly;
  • Tools and equipments – You will do the planning and purchasing of equipments as well as the implementation of the analytical measurement instruments according to health, safety, quality and environment standards;
  • Problem solving and conducting investigations - You will also plan, implement and evaluat complex investigations and problem solving of materials (e. g. in the field of HV battery systems and their components) and components (both metal and non-metal) as well as event-oriented, process-related problems;
  • Analysis of electronic components - You will make failure analysis of E/E components (e.g. cables, sensors and ECU) from series production. You will record relevant electrical and mechanical parameters of the HV battery systems as well as their electrical and electronic components;
  • Technical analyses – You will support the performing of X-ray analysis, CT analysis, microscopy (optical and SEM) and sample preparation. You will be responsible for the implementation and documentation of analytical investigations, the interpretation of results and for creating appropriate recommendations documented in comprehensive technical reports;
  • Transfer of results – You will give technical and non-technical presentations to management, internal teams and suppliers;
  • Administration – You will write quality and safety relevant documents such as work and operating instructions.

What should you bring along?

  • Educational background - degree (e.g. bachelor´s) in the field of electrical engineering, vehicle engineering, mechanical engineering or mechatronics engineering. Alternatively completed technician qualification on similar field;
  • Work experience – you have gained 1 year of experience in workshop tools (e.g. saws, drills, grinders, cutting tools, etc.) and experience gained in a laboratory environment is also desirable;
  • Computer skills – you are proficient user of MS Office tools;
  • Language skills – very good knowledge of spoken and written English;
  • Soft skills - Analytical mindset, good problem solving skills, team spirit and joy to work together with people.
