Ground Segment Software Systems Engineer

We are looking for Aerospace/Software Engineers, Computer Scientist graduates or PhDs (or of another discipline with equivalent experience) with 3 or more years experience in software integration, validation, testing, requirements engineering to work in ground segment systems and join our service team at our client EUMETSAT in Darmstadt.

Core team activities:

• Requirements Engineering;
• Design and development support;
• Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V) activities preparation, execution and support.

Requirements/Desired Experience:

• Experience in requirements and systems engineering;
• Knowledge of satellite ground segment system engineering and system and software life-cycles and standards;
• Experience in IV&V of complex systems;
• Experience in preparing system requirements and design documents;
• Definition, management and traceability of requirements structure and related tools (e.g. Doors);
• Experience preparing and maintain ICDs (Interface Control Documents);
• Strong knowledge in at least one of the following: Ground Segment Monitoring and/or Archive systems and/or Computer systems, Network systems and IT Security and/or Satellite payload data processing, analysis and reporting;
• Knowledge of project management processes and standards;
• Knowledge in AI/ML technologies and models and in supporting SW frameworks is a plus;
• Knowledge of ECSS standards is a plus.
