Job Description
Boeing Engineering Poland is currently looking for Associate Industrial Engineer to join our Production Engineering Team located in Rzeszow, Poland.
As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for processing, analyzing and delivering process related data to support smooth operational rhythm of Boeing manufacturing facilities. In this role you will assist Engineering departments based on site. Perfect candidate must understand the processes behind the production system. This individual must be well organized, adaptable and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Applies basic industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements
- Supports the development of plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows
- Assists with designing, maintaining, and optimizing the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel
- Conducts process work flow design and analysis
- Develops models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics to analyze process abnormalities and production bottlenecks
- Supports research, design, develop, improve, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization
- Documents product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices
- Supports the preparation of operations plans including work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasting, capacity and constraint analysis
- Supports execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling tools
- Provides production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support. Able to gather and analyze the data from various sources
- Participates in Risk Management process. Able to perform Risk and Oportunity assessment and indicates correct measures
- Follows compliance requirements with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines
- Support efforts in the development of recovery plans including data gathering, visibility development, and monitoring status to plan
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 1+ year of experience with Industrial Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering role related to capacity management and planning topics
- Experience in operations management, manufacturing, supply chain, and/or a production environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret Engineering documentation - Engineering drawings and Specifications
- Exposure to ERP systems
- English language B2+ level
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Familiarity with Data Analysis methods
- Knowledge of 3D modeling software basics
- Exposure to working in a team environment
- Exposure or application of Lean Manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles
- Exposure or application of Project Management
- Familiarity with PLM/PDM and Configuration Management principles
