Tasks:

Regular tasks

  • Define and apply the required processes, procedures and methodologies for Technology Product Development area of expertise (ECU HW/SW) by identifying and adopting the applicable automotive Standards (IEEE/ISO/SAE/BR standards) to characterize a common approach in the workflow for all the ECUs in scope of Technology Group;
  • Collect and merge the HW/SW plans from the Component Owners to verify the adherence of the maturity level to the Vehicle Program Plan milestones requirements;
  • Collect and take the responsibility of the issues raised by the several stakeholder of the ECUs in scope of Technology Group;
  • Define defect classification scheme and manage the issue analysis, resolution and planning leading discussions with suppliers and relevant stakeholders involved, ensuring the delivery within the BR overall timing planning and vehicle development planning;
  • Address/drive the resolution of Quality issues, Regulatory/Standards non-conformities and inconsistencies between Components DFMEA and System DFMEA (e.g. converting them in proper requirement with the support of System Engineering) according to “BR Product Reliability Process”;
  • Analyze the SW documentations provided by suppliers, to ensure the proper SW readiness according to the vehicle production phase;
  • Managing the SW integration among the vehicle environment, respecting the technical functionalities, change requests, issues modifications and delivery timing;
  • Maintain SW update management process and system, ensuring compliance to automotive standards and BR production norms;
  • Support Technology Programs Team with Impact Analysis & Risk Assessment for any Software timing/content update/change;
  • Deliberate and produce official business HW/SW/Cal release towards the BR company and production.

Occasional task

  • Support the change requests deployment and technical assessment together with the Program and System Engineering team;
  • Check and monitor the vehicles fleet SW/HW updates and planning status to verify the proper SW and contents integration;
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities regarding way of working, business development, innovation and together build the team spirit;
  • Incorporates and encourages the use of engineering standards, methodologies and global product development processes into engineering team’s daily work tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to define, deploy and track the processes, procedures and methodologies for the ECU HW/SW development;
  • Responsible to lead the cross-functional technical discussions in case of issues and lead the preliminary root cause analysis and drive the implementation of the corrective actions where necessary;
  • Responsible to push and motivate internal and external resources working on the assigned project/platform to ensure they can provide their deliverables on time with high quality;
  • Responsible to ensure the SW integration and deployment according to the expected contents and project phase status;
  • Weekly meetings with Process Engineering Manager;
  • Alignment and shared decisions agreement;
  • Manage of the Issues Resolution and Change Management processes;
  • Lead cross-functions engineering team discussions for HW/SW deliverables;
  • Manage the SW deliverables and contents among the projects;
  • Manage the deployment towards the key stakeholders.

Required skills and competencies:

  • Master’s Degree in Automotive or Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent;
  • At least 1-2 years of work experience in WHOLE Vehicle Software or Issue Management;
  • Good knowledge of automotive V-model systems development lifecycle;
  • Generally good understanding of vehicle performance and development, requirements, testing and software release process;
  • Knowledge of vehicle networks (CAN, Ethernet, Flexray) and related network analysis tools like CANAlyzer, CANoe, MDA;
  • Familiar with automotive component DVP and in-vehicle/testing facilities integration;
  • Knowledge of traceability tools like Polarion/DOORS/Jama and issues management tools like Jira;
  • English Fluent.

Considered as a plus:

  • Project Management and supplier interface experience;
  • Autonomy in analyzing testing facilities and in-vehicle measurements data;
  • Familiar with Vehicle/System target setting and breakdown to component level;
  • Knowledge of FuSa ISO 26262 standard and Automotive Cybersecurity ISO/SAE21434;
  • Broad and hands-on experience of FMEA & FuSa processes and robust problem resolution.
