We are seeking a Laboratory Materials Engineer with expertise in polymer chemistry, microscopy, and analytical data interpretation.

The successful candidate will support the characterization, development, and optimization of thermoplastic and thermosetting compounds used in Energy and telecom cable technologies.

In this role, you will:

• Perform advanced polymer morphological characterization to identify dispersion and distribution of polymeric and inorganic phases.
• Correlate polymer structure with chemical‑physical, rheological, and electrical properties of compounds.
• Conduct comparative analyses to support material development, troubleshooting, and product optimization.
• Analyze, interpret, and model complex multi‑technique datasets.
• Generate clear technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for R&D and engineering teams.
• Actively support development of optimized material formulations and manufacturing processes for cable products.

You are the right fit if you have/are:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or related field.
• Up to 4/5 years experience in polymer materials characterization and microscopy.
• Knowledge of thermoplastics, thermosets, polymer blends, and fillers.
• Experience with extrusion or injection molding processes is a nice to have.
• Solid understanding of polymer physics, chemistry, and structure–property relationships.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
