R&D Engineer, Surgical Tools

Your Tasks

• Support the technical development of innovative surgical tools and systems for otology, taking projects from initial concept to ready-to-ship products;
• Manage projects within the MED-EL quality system and actively support regulatory submissions to ensure compliance and excellence;
• Contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies with a strong focus on surgical systems;
• Take ownership of the creation and maintenance of Design History File documentation, including specifications, design input requirements, and design verification reports;
• Collaborate and coordinate closely with external suppliers to deliver high-quality solutions and drive successful project outcomes.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher degree (University, FH) in Electrical Engineering, Medical Engineering or equivalent qualification with a strong focus on the design, development, and verification of electrical and electronic systems for medical devices;
• Professional experience in the medical device industry is highly desirable, particularly experience with electrical safety, EMC, applicable IEC standards, and system integration
• Excellent technical writing skills;
• Good English skills, both written and spoken; German is a plus;
• Self-driven with the ability to excel in a multi-disciplinary and focused team environment.
