(Senior) Hardware Validation Engineer - Medium Voltage

What You’ll Do

  • Perform integration of hardware and firmware for next-generation power electronics converters at Tesla Energy;
  • Create detailed test plans according to requirements to validate functions, safety, and system performance;
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in design and performance by providing precise feedback to design teams;
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and firmware issues in complex, high-power/high-voltage systems (AC/DC, DC/DC, up to 1000V and 100kW);
  • Engage in hands-on hardware bring-up, validation activities and write automated test scripts in Python;
  • Compile and present clear, concise test reports;
  • Adhere to safety policies and regulatory compliance specific to high-voltage and high-power applications.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, power electronics or equivalent professional experience with demonstrated expertise;
  • 2+ years of experience in hardware integration and system testing of high-voltage/high-power converters (AC/DC, DC/DC, above 100V, 10kW);
  • Hands-on experience with high-voltage measurements, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, grid simulators and other relevant test equipment;
  • Familiarity in PCB design software such as Altium, Eagle, KiCad or similar;
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset and strong English communication skills;
  • Ability to deliver high-quality results, while effectively managing shifting priorities and demanding conditions;
  • Advanced experience in Python programming, C or C++ programming would be a plus;
  • Experience with hardware validation of medium voltage products (up to 36kV) would be beneficial.
