Engineering Program Leader - ADAS

Major Accountabilities:
- Technical Lead of Projects in area of Control Module Development for Autonomous Driving (ADAS);
- Definition and Monitoring of all relevant Tasks in Systems, Hardware, Software and Integration Engineering;
- Escalation of technical Issues and Conflicting Activities to Chief Engineer;
- Technical Lead of a global Team to solve complex (cross competency) Issues which cannot be covered on project level alone;
- Representation of Aptiv as Technical Counterpart for Customer;
- Participation in Product Strategy-und Architecture-Meetings;
- Responsible to prepare and execute Design Reviews &supervise Peer Reviews owned by HW/SW PO and completeness of the Design Review workbook in compliance with PDP process;
- Responsible for the Technical Risk Register: Identify risks, project scope changes, evaluate, rate, action plans, change points and manage contingency plans;
- Approve Start/Stop/Change/Signoff of engineering activity on project/component level work packages;
- Responsible for the evaluation and management of internal and customer technical (product) change requests. Technical change estimation (effort/timing/cost) and present PCE impact. Follow the PCE – in compliance with the PCE Process;
- Responsible to track closure of PCRs and VIRs by HW / SW PO (owners) as requested along with the Customer Chief Engineer;
- Develop and maintain compliant Engineering deliverables timing (HW (ME/EE), Validation, SW, Systems) in collaboration with the Program Management;
- Monitoring that engineering execution is following standard work and best practices. The work products comply with applicable organization policies and procedures;
- Owns customer problem troubleshooting and drives corrective action;
- Responsible for coordination and delivery of the product solution hand-over.
Skills:
- >14 Years’ Experience in Development of Electronic Control (Systems Engineering, Hard- & Software Engineering), ideally in Safety Electronics respectively ADAS (Radar, Camera, Sensor platforms);
- Profound Experience in direct contact to multiple customers (OEMs), ideally also in direct supplier & sub-supplier handling;
- Profound Knowledge in Automotive ADAS / Infotainment Development, ECUs , Sensors or Applications;
- Multiple Experience in Leading interdisciplinary project teams, ideally also of internationally spread teams;
- Knowledge about Product Development Processes (e.g.ASPICE), ideally founded experience in ISO26262 process & development according to this or similar FUSA standards;
- Engineering Degree in Electronics, Physics or equivalent discipline, ideally additional Knowledge in specific disciplines, e.g. High-Speed/Frequency Design, Mechanics, Tooling, Thermodynamics, Software development for Real Time applications.
