Laboratory Engineer

What you’ll do

  • Validate product specifications and conduct testing on:
    • Thermal safety;
    • Energy consumption;
    • Cooking performance;
    • Noise level, EMC, and environmental impact (where applicable);
    • Component reliability and lifetime;
    • Material performance (e.g. surface cleanability).
  • Support platform and technology teams in validation activities;
  • Propose improvements to product design and testing methods;
  • Maintain testing equipment in line with ISO9001 standards;
  • Align test methodologies with global R&D teams and external labs;
  • Participate in concept development, FMEA, and project teams;
  • Support the introduction of new models into production.

Who you are

  • A problem-solver with hands-on experience in testing and evaluation;
  • Familiar with product development processes and authority approvals (e.g. EN, IEC, UL, CCC);
  • Skilled in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including modifications and fault finding;
  • Proficient in testing methodologies (DoE, statistical analysis, CFD, Weibull);
  • Comfortable working with electric/electronic systems in a lab environment;
  • Strong in technical writing and fluent in English (written and spoken);
  • A team player who thrives in a global, matrix organization;
  • Open to travel and working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in Engineering or related field;
  • Experience in a testing laboratory or R&D environment;
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, MS Project);
  • Knowledge of IQ & EMS systems is a plus.
