About the Role

Cyient Oy Ab is looking for a hands‑on and collaborative Design Engineer to join our team in Vaasa, Turku, Oulu, Pietarsaari, or Tampere. You’ll work directly with one of Finland’s leading industrial corporations, designing high‑performance engine components. If you enjoy turning ideas into real products and solving engineering challenges together with others, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Design engine components and mechanical parts from concept to production.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and drawings using Siemens NX.
• Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, testing, and quality teams.
• Use rapid prototyping, including 3D printing, to validate ideas.
• Participate in design reviews and problem‑solving sessions.
• Manage design data and documentation in Siemens Teamcenter.
• Support manufacturability and continuous improvement throughout the process.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Solid experience in mechanical design — your capability matters more than your years.
• Strong skills in Siemens NX and familiarity with Teamcenter.
• Understanding of how products are manufactured and assembled.
• A genuine interest in machines, engineering, and how things are built.
• Hands‑on workshop skills (machining, welding, etc.) are a strong plus.
• Ability to work independently while still collaborating closely with the team.
• Practical problem‑solver with clear communication and a solution‑focused approach.
• Experience with simulation tools is a benefit — especially Eigenfrequency analysis.
