As a Ground Segment Systems Analyst, you will have a real impact on the development of systems that support satellite missions, manage space data, and enable tracking of orbital objects. By joining us, you’ll become part of a team with over 10 years of experience in developing software for the space sector, working closely with the European Space Agency and major industry leaders.
Are you fascinated by the space industry? Do you have an analytical approach and experience working with ground segment systems? Apply now and and join a team that develops space technologies – right here on Earth!
Your main responsibilities will include
- Participating in the design, analysis, and implementation of ground segment systems;
- Coordinating functional and technical requirements between the ground and space segments;
- Supporting system test campaigns (Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests);
- Analysing operational data, preparing reports, and improving processes related to ground station operations;
- Collaborating with integration and development teams;
- Participating in the creation of proposals for Ground Segment systems for ESA, government institutions, and commercial clients.
We’re looking for someone who has
- A technical university degree (preferred fields: computer science, automation, electronics, telecommunications, systems engineering, physics, or related);
- Experience working with Ground Segment systems for satellites (e.g., EO, telecommunications, GNSS);
- Experience working with satellite systems such as Cubesat, FlatSat testbeds, etc.;
- Knowledge of satellite system architecture: uplink/downlink communication, TT&C, mission monitoring and control;
- Experience working with and/or designing an MCS (Mission Control System);
- Experience with TM/TC interfaces and CCSDS standards.
Additionally, we will value
- Knowledge of scripting languages: Python, Bash;
- Experience in software specification and design;
- Understanding of system integration and operational environmental testing (Ground Validation, Integration Tests, SVT);
- Familiarity with ESA/ECSS procedures and standards (e.g., ECSS-E-70);
- Experience working with tools such as SCOS-2000/EGS-CC;
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus) and automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins).
If you don’t meet all the requirements but feel this role is right for you – go ahead and apply! We believe growth is a process, and sometimes potential and mindset matter just as much as experience. Send us your CV – maybe you're exactly who we’re looking for!
What we offer
- Participation in projects for the European Space Agency in international teams;
- Employment based on an employment contract or B2B cooperation;
- Your preferred work model: in our office, hybrid, or 100% remote;
- Influence over your tasks and real autonomy (no micromanagement!);
- A dedicated training budget for courses, certifications, training, and books – you decide in which direction you want to grow;
- Benefits: co-financing of a Multisport card and private medical care, access to a psychologist, employee referral program; and if you enjoy board games or team-building events – you’ll find that here too!
Recruitment process
- Step 1: After reviewing your CV, Kasia (recruitment specialist) will call you for a short conversation or invite you to an interview;
- Step 2: You’ll meet with Kasia and Asia (SPACE area coordinator) – we’ll talk about the company, the role, mutual expectations, and assess your technical skills;
- Step 3: You’ll be invited to a demo day – a paid trial day. You will get hands-on experience with the key tasks for this role and decide whether ITTI is the right place for you;
- Step 4: After the meeting, you will receive either an offer or a thank-you note for participating in our recruitment process.
Meet your team
For over 13 years, the SPACE team has been actively collaborating with the European Space Agency, focusing on several thematic areas:
- Development of Ground Segment Support Software;
- On-board communication solutions – design, implementation, testing, and network management (on-board data handling protocols);
- Building Space Situational Awareness systems;
- Client applications leveraging space technologies.
Our team includes analysts, astronomers, project managers, and many other specialists needed to deliver ESA-related software solutions. The team is also supported by developers (backend/frontend engineers, testers, DevOps). Depending on the ongoing projects, we work in 5-8-person project and/or product teams, using the best practices from agile methodologies.
