Our Engineering team are looking for the right teammate to support the start-up of our first European manufacturing site in Athenry. As a Process Engineer 2, you will use sound and proven engineering principles in the implementation, characterization, improvement, and qualification/validation of manufacturing processes for replicate manufacturing equipment used in the scale-up of new or existing products.
Where you come in:
- Ownership of OEE and Yield: Monitor, analyse, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and process yield across a highly automated manufacturing environment
- Process & Equipment Qualifications: Support equipment and process qualifications, including protocol development, execution, and documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Apply structured problem-solving techniques to root cause analysis and to identify process risks, assess impact, and implement mitigation plans.
- As the line engineer, identify and resolve all mechanical, software and performance issues.
- You will perform statistically robust and industry standard analysis of data, and present findings to technical teams
- Work with suppliers to ensure equipment, materials, and components meet product specifications and performance requirements.
- Collaborate across Dexcom manufacturing sites with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure successful implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with FDA design controls and documentation standards.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support team and business objectives
What makes you successful:
- Typically requires an Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation/Mechatronics or equivalent and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience or Master’s degree and 0-2 years’ equivalent experience.
- Ability to run self-directed projects, maintain timelines, stay organized, and balance multiple activities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to deal with ambiguity/uncertainty and a willingness to try new/challenging things.
- Proven ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment with highly automated production lines
- Previous experience in FAT/SAT along with IQ/OQ/PQ
- Familiar with experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of experiments - Minitab
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and personal interaction skills
- Knowledge of high reliability, high volume manufacturing processes and designs.
- Travel Required: 5-10%
