What is your Day-to-Day Mission:
- Design & Development: Lead the mechanical design for new products and components using CAD software (Catia v5 is mandatory).
- Analysis & Calculations: Perform engineering analyses and calculations for critical design aspects. These include i.e. critical tolerance stack ups, thermal analysis and ultra-lightweight design.
- Prototyping & De-Risking: Initiate and support the prototyping and early testing to de- risk the key mechanical concepts and designs.
- Project Participation: Serve as the technical lead on major projects, coordinating activities with cross-functional teams (Electrical, Manufacturing, Supply chain)
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including detailed drawings, BOMs and design review presentations.
- Supplier Management: Collaborate with external suppliers and manufacturers to optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA), ensuring high-quality and cost-effective production.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance, training, and technical support to less experienced mechanical engineers.
- Standards & Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality procedures.
What you bring to the team:
