Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) System Development Engineer - Renewable Energy Systems

In this role, you will design and execute HiL tests for critical electrical components, ensuring safe and efficient operation in renewable energy applications.
YOUR TASKS
- Specify and design new HiL tests based on electrical converter requirements
- Develop, test, and maintain automated test cases using EXAM test automation
- Execute test campaigns and analyze results for Main Power Converter, Pitch, and Yaw systems
- Implement mathematical models in MATLAB Simulink and FPGA for closed-loop control, including state machines
- Prepare quality reports, SOPs, and maintain documentation in Teamcenter
- Work with JIRA, Confluence, and related tools integrated with the HiL test bench
- Develop and enhance automation scripts in Python, JavaScript, or C++ for testing workflows and process efficiency
- Integrate JIRA, X-ray, and Confluence using APIs for automation and data exchange
YOUR PROFILE
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in designing HiL tests
- Hands-on experience with dSPACE Scalexio or similar HiL systems (Speedgoat, Typhoon HIL, Opal-RT)
- Proficient in MATLAB Simulink and FPGA-based modeling
- Programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or C++
- Fluent in English; German and/or Spanish skills are an advantage
